hi there, Many people spend a long time struggling to find their purpose and trying to make meaning of their life. It's tough! We don't receive a guidebook at birth that tells us what paths to follow. For the most part, we're just winging it and always wondering whether we made the right choice. I can certainly relate. But I'm now blessed to say, with confidence, that I've found my calling for the next few chapters of my life: running a native gardening business. For me, it started with a dream, in which my long-deceased great-grandmother inspired me to apply for a real-life internship, which led me to entrepreneurship. Kinda bizarre, but true! (Perhaps I can share the whole story a different time.) Realizing my "purpose" - aka refining my skills and knowledge into a sustainable and rewarding career path - feels like a gift from the universe. I hold this new path sacred, and I intend to follow it doggedly. To that end, I've launched a GoFundMe to raise critical start-up funds for The Sanity Garden. Your donation will help me effectively market my services, purchase gardening tools, hire helping hands, and, ultimately, restore ecosystems in communities near and afar. Please consider donating to my GoFundMe campaign today.
With immense gratitude, Kristen PS: Here's my favorite quote about finding your purpose: "Life has no meaning. Each of us has meaning, and we bring it to life. It is a waste to be asking the question when you are the answer." - Joseph Campbell |

hey there, I noticed fluffy white stuff at the back of my yard the other day. I walked closer and realized they were feathers. Take a look: Just as I approached, a red-tailed hawk screeched and flew off from the red maple above me, where she had presumably just been dining and discarding feathers from her catch. Sometimes the circle of life is glorious and beautiful, like spring flowers and baby birds. And sometimes it is powerful and fierce, like these remains from a hawk's feast. While it's...
